Hello, world! Welcome to my little nerd cave on the internet. If you’ve stumbled in here, I’m guessing you’re into books, video games, comics, or some other geek-flavored pastime. If not, don’t worry: you’ll still find something shiny to distract you.

For those new to me, I’m Aydan Sattler: dog groomer by day, writer by night, professional coffee enthusiast at all hours. While I’ve published hundreds of articles, emails, and website copy as a copywriter, I’m now deep in the editing process of my debut novel, If I Die Before I Wake.

Fun fact: I wrote the first draft back in high school. Less fun fact: it lived in a drawer for two decades before I finally pulled it out, dusted it off, and rewrote it with the help of the wonderful editing team at Terran Empire Publishing. The glow-up has been real, and I can’t wait to share the finished book with you in 2026.

Now, most author blogs stick to writing and book talk. And yes, you’ll definitely get that here. But I’ll also be diving into my other passions: video games, anime, comics, D&D, and the occasional random idea I couldn’t shake loose while working on client projects. Basically, if it makes me nerd out, I’m bringing it here... and subjecting you to it.
